We walked everywhere, swam off a lovely beach on the west end, saw the turtle breeding/eco centre, stopped at the most easterly point of both the Island and Mexico, where the sun first touches the country every morning, and had wonderful food on the beach, on the back street, and at Cafe Cito for breakfast. Our previous favourite breakfast place on the north side of the island, right on the ocean, was gone - sob - but Cafe Cito was wonderful.
Stayed overnight at Vistalmar Hotel on the harbour, where we have stayed twice before, full of gringos who come for several weeks or months every winter. Next visit we are going to try one of the wee charming hotels/apts. on the back streets, just for the variety.
