Casa Housewarming

Jan. 11. We had a lovely mix of friends over to warm our casa. It was actually a very hot day, and despite trying to lure people to the pool patio with food and drink, everyone gathered in the house, where it was cooler. We had barbeque chicken (thanks to Guadalupe around the corner), cheeses, crackers, guacamole, salsa and to top it off, chocolate cupcakes topped with a cream cheese icing - thanks to Jill!!!

In it, you will see, in order of pics: Dafni and Rachel, Kevin and Brenda, Lauren and JP, Sarah, Jill and Bill, Yoli, Eric and Ed, JP and Mauro, and Miki and Kevin. Then you will see some much appreciated and unexpected house warming presents - a lovely wind chime from Lauren and Rachel, a unique water sculpture made by JP, a hand painted photo album from Yoli, a daisy from Daisy (how appropriate!)., and a great bottle of tequila also from Rachel and Lauren. In addition, Sarah and Mairleen brought red wine, Eric brought a magical cactus from the big cactus at his house, and Ed and Kevin brought red wine and 2 pieces of frozen fish which Ed caught when they went fishing the other day. Finally, our dear friend Valorie, who was sick and unable to attend on Sunday, gave us 2 amazing margarita glasses, which we will christen soon! We were spoiled, for sure. Sadly, the workmen we had invited were unable to come this day, so we will have them over another time to honour their hard work.
