Our friend, Yoli, who is a top notch realtor in Puerto Morelos, is also an artist, and is hoping some day to make her living as such. We had lunch at her place the other day, 2 streets over from our house, where she showed us the nativity scene and incredible surrounding "community" she has built - all out of plasticine!!!! It is so amazing, she has been asked to display it in Cancun at a competition for hand built nativity scenes.
Her other main artistry is painting ostrich eggs - you will see how beautiful these ones are (the one at the back is just started, but will be a portrait of the governor's wife, commissioned by the governor himself!!). Very beautiful indeed!
Yoli LOVES Christmas - as do most people in our neighbourhood. There are lights on all the streets (we just put ours up on Wednesday), and Yoli's living room is decorated to the hilt with everything to do with Feliz Navidad!!!!
