We are helping out our friends at the Alma Libre Bookstore and last evening was both busy at the store and in the town square, onto which the bookstore opens. Just like the kids who came to our house for Guadalupe, this little group sang their song of praise for the virgin, (some had to read the words, but they all sang with gusto!!!), and collected money for ........the church? children's programs? we are not sure, but were happy to contribute!!Next door a lovely Mexican woman sang all evening at Triny's restaurant, so we were the beneficiaries of lovely music as well.
It slays me that the church is all decorated with flashing Christmas lights.....!
And a young couple (son of a massage therapist we know) were drumming and juggling burning batons for a few pesos in front of the stage in the town square.
