more new furniture!

November 16. Here is the rest of the furniture made by Juan, our local furniture maker. He does a good job with the materials he has - turned posts, plywood and spools. It is all stained the same colour as our dining room furniture, so fits in well.

Now for the prices - the coffee table was $40, the 2 end tables were $30 each, and the 2 night tables, each with 3 drawers, were $50 each. Total cost - $200. Now, normally I am the Queen of Bartering, but this little family makes its living out of this stuff, so I happily paid full price.

We had a nice tropical downpour yesterday late afternoon on a scorcher of a day - over 30 with almost no breeze, which is most unusual. The temperature went down to 19 last night and is only 23 on an overcast day. Supposed to be more rain today, but sunny tomorrow for the start of our painting marathon.
