Puerto Morelos!

Oct. 28 - Nov. 2.

Last leg of the journey was a cab from Amtrak to Seatac, and a flight to Houston and then to Cancun. Arrived by cab to our house, got the keys from neighbour Karina, and spent a couple of days unpacking, doing trips to WalMart for various things, and getting our cable set up. We went to the Cablemas kiosk in Cancun to sign up for cable, and they sent the tech out NEXT day, between 7 am and 2 pm. Cesar, our Cablemas technician, was at our house at 9 am, and there he is up a ladder connected us.

Next day we went to Cantina Habernero to see Ed and Natalie (remember that baby shower last spring???). Well, little Jessalie is now 5 months old and a charmer for sure. Nice to see the family doing well and they still make pretty damn good margaritas!!!

Tomorrow (Monday, November 3) we are doing an overnight trip to Belize, as it turns out that our 10 year sticker on the car was only a 6 months one, so we have to go over the border, come back into Mexico, and get a new sticker. Sigh. We have decided to spend the night in Chetumal, on the Mexican side of the border, as it is pretty much a 5 hour drive each way to Belize. Will check back in on Wednesday, with some more pics and stories about borders.
